Here are some new Polaroids, I haven’t worked on them as a set like I usually do but as individuals.

I used Yellow for all this, to give it warmth and sensuality. I like to mix random head shots with intimate scene because in real life these moments actually coexist in an interesting way. One moment you’re out there hanging with friends, maybe knowing somebody is waiting for you after that. Or meanwhile some are hanging out and getting drunk some are getting their fix in a more sexy way. Either way socialization eventually leads to “protected” procreation.

The girl with the boots is a self portrait (A idealize self portrait of course) with my favorite boots! Like the song says; “I’m gonna walk all over you.”

This one was inspired by a google search picture, as random as that, but I really liked the composition of the picture.

These two are my favorite of the bunch, The one on the left was inspired by a picture of a lovely friend that is very dear to me, I always admire her optimism and she feels like a little sunshine. The one on the right was inspired by a Photo that reminded me of some event I won’t reveal in this post.

To be continued… kisses my sweets!

Here is a set of 12 Polaroids, all done in warm red.

red polaroids
Red is sensual, Red is for passion, violence and impulses. It isn’t rational. Intellect is left on the sidewalk when we follow our strongest emotions, we follow our guts rather than listening to our reason. We loose our head into Love and passion. I know I do. EVERY SINGLE TIME I feel strong emotion for a lucky bastard. There’s been only 3 so far.

A lot of it is primary needs and instinct that make us chemically it seems respond to another human being with an irresistible urge to conquer or tame them. I never listen to reason even when I probably should, but I rather be spontaneous and go to the bottom of my emotions until they are completely exhausted than have regrets and wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t dare to do something.

I based the naked girl on the top left on a Sculpture by Cammille Claudel/Rodin that I believe she originally posed for. The other are based on more photos I took or various online references. But mostly it’s a lot from imagination and fantasy!

till soon…

Roses are Red, and my heart is blue! here is a sneak peak at some of the latest Polaroids. I’m now up to 90.

This set was all imagined in reds, I took some pictures for reference and added some elements to the composition.
I had a stomachache for the past couple of days due to an submerging feeling of nostalgia. Some people still make you anxious and give you stomachache years down the line. Even when you can’t find much good to say about them. It’s neither bad or good sometimes but the fact is we feel something stronger than usual. At least it proves we can still feel something. Sometimes we feel like we’re being wrapped in a warm blanket and everything around us turns foggy and inaudible.
Some fantasies are hard to be clear in your head, it’s like missing someone you haven’t really met.
till soon my sweets…

Here is a sneak peak at one of the latest Polaroids watercolor.

Some of you had very positive feedback notably on The Kiss, well I’m sorry to say I can’t take much credit on those since all these three are based on Rodin’s sculpture, you might recognize them now that it is said. I was looking to emphasize on romanticism, which, unfortunately seems to be a notion that died with the art of the XIX century…

I’m a true romantic… I believe a few of us remain, incorrigibly romantic, acting on little impulses, falling at first sight for a pretty face, getting our heart broken every once in a while… Blue is nostalgic and melancholic just like my very being. I don’t mean to be that way, it’s just my nature. Like Marguerite Duras said when her first lover asked her why she looked so sad;
_”I’m always a little sad…”
